Xedequa is the Spirits Company of the FVG that offers innovative spirit drinks, obtained by mixing traditional botanicals with distinctive excellences typical of the regional territory, essential in our high quality artisan drinks.
Xedequa aims to raise awareness of particular protected species in order to raise collective awareness aimed at safeguarding the biodiversity of the regional environment: in fact, we use ingredients from selected suppliers and nurseries, which produce them responsibly.
Their “Ginterior”, premium and award-winning Old Tom Gin sui generis, sweet, “pimp” and multipurpose, stands out for the refinement of quality FVG pillars such as Pesche di Fiumicello, top in FVG; Marasca Honey, also voted the best in Italy; Dandelion infusion, classified as PAT – traditional agricultural product of FVG; Seeds of Erba dei Tartari, which in Italy is found only in the Pordenone Magredi and their rarity.

L’aspetto e il profumo appena tolto il tappo uniti al nome fanno pensare a primo acchito ad un oggetto da esporre in casa per arredare e profumare l’ambiente ma, sprecheremmo un gin particolarmente buono e raffinato come pochi altri distillati. Un old tom che risulta molto ben equilibrato nelle sue botaniche e che cattura già i sensi dai primi attimi.
The appearance and the scent just removed the cap together with the name make you think at first glance of an object to be displayed in the house to furnish and perfume the environment but, we would waste a particularly good and refined gin like few other distillates. An old tom that is very well balanced in its botanicals and that already captures the senses from the first moments.
Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?
Abbiamo provato questo gin con la Franklin & Son Natural light, tonica neutra e poco zuccherina che amalgama bene le varie e differenti botaniche presenti in questo gin.
We tried this gin with Franklin & Son Natural light, a neutral tonic with little sugar that blends well the various and different botanicals present in this gin.
COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T
Di questo gin ci piacciono le botaniche con cui è fatto, che abbinate tra di loro lo rendono molto particolare, appena si toglie il tappo arriva subito al naso con quei profumi floreali e dolci dati dal miele di Marasca e dalle Pesche di Fiumicello, mentre poi al palato le note agrumate e il ginepro danno maggior risalto al dolce del miele di Marasca e delle pesche di Fiumicello. Nel finale si possono sentire le note rinfrescanti date dal Tarassaco. Inoltre un altra nota positiva di questo gin è la possibilità di poterselo gustare liscio o anche con un cubetto di ghiaccio.
Difetti davvero non ne troviamo.
We like the botanicals with which it is made of this gin, which combined with each other make it very special, as soon as you remove the cap, those floral and sweet aromas given by Marasca honey and Fiumicello peaches immediately arrive on the nose, while then at on the palate the citrus notes and juniper give greater prominence to the sweetness of Marasca honey and Fiumicello peaches. In the finish you can feel the refreshing notes given by the Dandelion. Furthermore, another positive note of this gin is the possibility of being able to enjoy it smooth or even with an ice cube.
We really can’t find any faults.
