Un gin che non passa inosservato con un etichetta davvero intrigante e un contenuto che non delude le aspettative, il gin presenta botaniche ben bilanciate ma non scontate, sapori intensi già al naso prima ancora che al palato. Lo abbiamo assaggiato la prima volta ad una convention di gin dove se ne assaggiano a decine e il suo sapore ci è rimasto impresso.

A gin that does not go unnoticed with a truly intriguing label and a content that does not disappoint expectations, the gin presents well-balanced but not obvious botanicals, intense flavors already on the nose even before on the palate. We tasted it for the first time at a gin convention where dozens of them are tasted and its flavor left a lasting impression on us.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quelle che hanno permesso di assaporare un gin ben bilanciato sono la Fever tree Mediterranean e la Schweppes.

La Fever tree Mediterranean risalta subito le note floreali dell’elicriso e del te nero, seguito dalle note amare della liquirizia con il timo che bilancia i sapori floreali e intensi con le note agrumate del bergamotto e della limetta, adatto a chi piace assaporare un gin tonic dalle note balsamiche ed erbacee ma molto rinfrescanti.

La Schweppes bilancia tutte le botaniche rendendo il gin tonic molto lineare senza che una botanica sovrasti l’altra nei sapori, adatto per chi ama bere un gin tonic rinfrescante.

We tried this gin with various tonics, those that allowed us to enjoy a well-balanced gin are Fever tree Mediterranean and Schweppes.

The Mediterranean Fever tree immediately highlights the floral notes of helichrysum and black tea, followed by the bitter notes of liquorice with thyme which balances the floral and intense flavors with the citrus notes of bergamot and lime, suitable for those who like to savor a gin tonic with balsamic and herbaceous but very refreshing notes.

Schweppes balances all the botanicals making the gin and tonic very linear without one botanical dominating the other in flavours, suitable for those who love drinking a refreshing gin and tonic.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la bottiglia con forma classica, con un’etichetta davvero particolare rappresentata da viso femminile come immerso su un fondale marino.

Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota agrumata del bergamotto e limetta, seguito dal profumo intenso dell’elicriso con un finale balsamico del cardamomo ed erbaceo del timo.

Ci piace bevuto liscio in quanto al palato arriva subito la nota intenso del te nero e della liquirizia, con la nota erbacea del timo che ricopre la lingua facendo da bilanciere tra tutte le botaniche, bilanciando in particolar modo le note finali balsamiche ed agrumate con le note erbacee ed intense del te nero e dell’elicriso, rendendo molto piacevole bere questo gin liscio, soprattutto dopo pasto.

We like the bottle with a classic shape, with a very particular label represented by a female face immersed in a seabed.

We like the scent it releases as soon as the bottle is opened, the citrus note of bergamot and lime immediately arrives on the nose, followed by the intense scent of helichrysum with a balsamic finish of cardamom and herbaceous finish of thyme.

We like to drink it neat as the intense note of black tea and liquorice immediately reaches the patient, with the herbaceous note of thyme covering the tongue acting as a balance between all the botanicals, balancing in particular the final balsamic and citrus notes with the herbaceous and intense notes of black tea and helichrysum, making it very pleasant to drink this gin straight, especially after a meal.
