Bad Gin è stato creato per onorare la città in cui l’azienda e i suoi fondatori sono nati, Bologna.

Sulla bottiglia è serigrafata l’illustrazione del profilo della città e grazie all’effetto “lente di ingrandimento” creato dalla bottiglia stessa, è possibile ammirarla da vicino.

Il colore scelto non è casuale, ma deriva da uno dei tre soprannomi di Bologna, “la rossa”: esattamente il colore che i suoi tetti e le sue mura le regalano; “il mattone bolognese” rappresenta la tradizione della muratura che nei secoli, soprattutto a partire dalla dissoluzione dell’Impero Romano, permane principalmente nei territori che vanno dalla Romagna al Lazio.

Gli altri due soprannomi sono “la Dotta” per la presenza dell’Università più antica del mondo fondata nel 1088 e “la Grassa” per due validissime ragioni: la sua ottima cucina che non conosce confini, e la sua terra fertile, scelta secoli fa dai Romani come territorio ideale alla coltivazione.

Infine, le famose due torri simbolo della città, dette degli Asinelli e la Garisenda, appaiono sotto il logo dal retro della bottiglia, dando spettacolo e conquistando l’attenzione dello spettatore.

Dal sapore deciso, Bad Gin non manca di note speziate e fresche: la forte predominanza del pepe nero lascia spazio ad un retrogusto di limone e il coriandolo permette un perfetto bilanciamento dei gusti.

Il miglior perfect serve abbina foglie di salvia fresche e una fettina di zenzero.

Una vera delizia, ma non solo per il classico gin tonic: Bad Gin ci stupisce in miscelazione con cocktail dal sapore travolgente.

Bad Gin was created to honor the city where the company and its founders were born, Bologna.

The illustration of the city profile is silk-screened on the bottle and thanks to the “magnifying glass” effect created by the bottle itself, it is possible to admire it up close.

The color chosen is not random, but derives from one of Bologna’s three nicknames, “the red”: exactly the color that its roofs and walls give it; “the Bolognese brick” represents the tradition of masonry which over the centuries, especially since the dissolution of the Roman Empire, has remained mainly in the territories ranging from Romagna to Lazio.

The other two nicknames are “the Learned” for the presence of the oldest University in the world founded in 1088 and “the Fat” for two very valid reasons: its excellent cuisine that knows no boundaries, and its fertile land, chosen centuries ago by the Romans as an ideal territory for cultivation.

Finally, the famous two symbolic towers of the city, called degli Asinelli and the Garisenda, appear under the logo from the back of the bottle, putting on a show and capturing the attention of the spectator.

With a strong flavour, Bad Gin does not lack spicy and fresh notes: the strong predominance of black pepper leaves room for a lemon aftertaste and the coriander allows for a perfect balance of flavours.

The best perfect serve combines fresh sage leaves and a slice of ginger.

A true delight, but not only for the classic gin and tonic: Bad Gin amazes us when mixed with cocktails with an overwhelming flavour.

Bad Gin è come la sua città di origine con sfumature aggrumate e speziate che si mischiano in bocca, poche botaniche ma buone proprio come Bologna, interessante anche la bottiglia con una forma allungata quasi a ricordare le torri della città.

Bad Gin is like its city of origin with citrus and spicy nuances that mix in the mouth, few botanicals but good just like Bologna, also interesting is the bottle with an elongated shape almost reminiscent of the city’s towers.

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che han bilanciato meglio il gin tonic è la Abbondio Premium, la quale permette di assaporare bene tutte le botaniche, mettendo in risalto subito la nota agrumata del limone che ricopre il palato bilanciando le note piccantine del coriandolo con le note speziate del pepe nero, il tutto rendendo il gin tonic davvero fresco e dissetante.

Ci piace molto la bottiglia, allungata e stretta, con nell’ etichetta messo in risalto lo skyline della città di bologna, con raffigurati i vari monumenti storici

Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota speziata del pepe nero seguita dall’agrumato del limone.

Ci piace bevuto liscio, in quanto al palato arriva subito la nota speziata del pepe nero seguito dalle note fresche e agrumate date dal ginepro e dal limone, con un finale piccantino dato dal coriandolo.
