Corricella Tangerine gin è un pregiato gin che nasce dall’unione di un raffinato London Dry Gin, prodotto dalla distilleria più antica d’Inghilterra, con un infuso di deliziosi mandarini coltivati nei giardini procidani.

Il mandarino procidano è un frutto piccolo e con una buccia sottilissima ma ricca di olii essenziali, e con una polpa piena di succo aromatico e dolce. La coltivazione avviene sui tipici terreni vulcanici della zona che conferiscono ai frutti caratteristiche organolettiche peculiari, e che da diversi secoli lo rendono perfetto per la realizzazione di marmellate, confetture, e rosoli.

La coltivazione dei mandarini si tramanda, da sempre, di generazione in generazione, e spesso i piccoli agrumeti rappresentavano una parte importante della dote da dare alle figlie in occasione del matrimonio.

La bottiglia è elegante e colorata, ed è impreziosita da dettagli come il tappo in legno e la carta naturale sulla quale è riportata la stampa fedele di un dipinto originale di FeBe (Francesca Belmonte).

ASPETTO: Brillante con sfumature di arancio.

Corricella Tangerine gin is a fine gin born from the union of a refined London Dry Gin, produced by the oldest distillery in England, with an infusion of delicious mandarins grown in the Procida gardens.

The Procida mandarin is a small fruit with a very thin skin but rich in essential oils, and with a pulp full of aromatic and sweet juice. Cultivation takes place on the typical volcanic soils of the area which give the fruit peculiar organoleptic characteristics, and which for several centuries have made it perfect for the production of jams, marmalades and rosoli.

The cultivation of mandarins has always been handed down from generation to generation, and small citrus groves often represented an important part of the dowry to be given to daughters on the occasion of marriage.

The bottle is elegant and colourful, and is embellished with details such as the wooden cap and the natural paper on which there is a faithful print of an original painting by FeBe (Francesca Belmonte).

APPEARANCE: Bright with shades of orange.

AROMA: Fresh and sweet, with persistent and enveloping notes of mandarin.

La variante del Corricella consiste nella botanica aggrumata dolce del mandarino invece degli agrumi verdi più aspri della versione originale, il risultato è sempre quello di un gin fresco che ben si presta a dei gin tonic dissetanti soprattutto se accompagnati da una tonica più decisa e con una nota amarognola.

The Corricella variant consists of the sweet citrusy botanicals of mandarin instead of the harsher green citrus fruits of the original version, the result is always that of a fresh gin that lends itself well to thirst-quenching gin and tonics especially if accompanied by a stronger tonic and with a bitterish note.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che ha bilanciato meglio il gin è la San Pellegrino Rovere, in quanto permette di bilanciar bene le varie botaniche, le note agrumate dolci del mandarino si bilanciano molto bene con le note balsamiche del ginepro grazie anche alla nota amarognola e leggermente acida data dalla tonica, il tutto per un ottimo Gin Tonic fresco e piacevole.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the one that balanced the gin best is San Pellegrino Rovere, as it allows the various botanicals to be balanced well, the sweet citrus notes of the mandarin balance very well with the balsamic notes of the juniper thanks also to the bitter and slightly acidic note given by the tonic, all for an excellent fresh and pleasant Gin Tonic.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace molto la bottiglia, in particolar modo l’etichetta dove viene rappresentato un dipinto di Francesca Belmonte e il tappo in legno.

Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota agrumata e dolce del mandarino procidano seguito dalle note balsamiche e fresche del ginepro.

Ci piace bevuto liscio in quanto al palato arriva subito la nota dolce del mandarino con un retrogusto balsamico del ginepro, sapore davvero piacevole che permette di gustarsi questo gin liscio a fine pasto.

We really like the bottle, especially the label where a painting by Francesca Belmonte is depicted and the wooden cap.

We like the scent it releases as soon as the bottle is opened, the citrus and sweet note of the Procida mandarin immediately arrives on the nose followed by the balsamic and fresh notes of the juniper.

We like it drunk neat as the sweet note of mandarin immediately comes to the palate with a balsamic aftertaste of juniper, a truly pleasant flavor that allows you to enjoy this gin neat at the end of a meal.
