Dal 2018, racchiudiamo nelle nostre maestose bottiglie, capolavori artigianali in vetro, i profumi dell’Etna in un gin che racconta a tutto il mondo la Sicilia. Qui, tra la sciara dell’Etna, ginepro, ginestra, nocciola e finocchietto selvatico incontrano l’arancia amara per esprimere il carattere vulcanico e l’energia di un territorio affascinante.

Ispiràti dalla sciara, estraiamo l’anima del vulcano dalle sue botaniche: la freschezza del ginepro dell’Etna; la ginestra, che regala un interessante contrasto tra dolce e amaro; la nocciola che porta rotondità al sapore; il finocchietto selvatico che dona vigore alle note speziate e l’arancia amara per un tocco di fresca ed espressiva acidità.

Volcano Etna Dirty Gin è il primo gin siciliano realizzato con olive Nocellara dell’Etna e olio extra vergine d’oliva Monte Etna DOP: un omaggio al territorio dell’Etna e un richiamo ad un drink leggendario: il Dirty Martini.

Since 2018, we have been enclosing the scents of Etna in our majestic bottles, handcrafted glass masterpieces, in a gin that tells the whole world about Sicily. Here, among the Etna sciara, juniper, broom, hazelnut and wild fennel meet bitter orange to express the volcanic character and energy of a fascinating territory.

Inspired by the sciara, we extract the soul of the volcano from its botanicals: the freshness of the Etna juniper; the broom, which offers an interesting contrast between sweet and bitter; the hazelnut which brings roundness to the flavour; wild fennel which gives strength to the spicy notes and bitter orange for a touch of fresh and expressive acidity.

Volcano Etna Dirty Gin is the first Sicilian gin made with Nocellara olives from Etna and Monte Etna DOP extra virgin olive oil: a tribute to the Etna area and a reference to a legendary drink: the Dirty Martini.

Il prodotto si presenta in una bottiglia notevole e il contenuto non è da meno, il Dirty Etna è il terzo gin creato da questi ragazzi siciliani e aggiunge alle botaniche base del loro primo gin l’olio e le olive del vulcano dando una forza e unicità ad un gin già riuscito di suo.

Bevuto liscio è notevole ma il meglio lo da abbinato alla loro Volcano Tonic una tonic water davvero ben equilibrata in grado di non coprire le botaniche oppure tirare fuori le note amarognole con una Indian o quelle sgrumate con una Mediterranea, insomma un vero jolly per il palato.

The product is presented in a remarkable bottle and the contents are no less, the Dirty Etna is the third gin created by these Sicilian guys and adds the oil and olives of the volcano to the basic botanicals of their first gin giving it a strength and uniqueness to an already successful gin.

Drunk neat it is remarkable but the best is when combined with their Volcano Tonic, a really well balanced tonic water capable of not covering the botanicals or bringing out the bitter notes with an Indian or the desumed ones with a Mediterranean, in short a real wild card for the palate .

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che ha bilanciato meglio le varie botaniche è la Volcano Tonic, prodotta dallo stesso produttore del gin, in quanto riesce a bilanciare i sapori dati dalle varie botaniche, da quelle fresche ed erbacee del finocchietto selvatico e delal ginestra alla nota dolce della nocciola con un finale agrumato dato dall’arancia, con la viscosità dell’oliva e olio d’oliva che accompagnano i sapori di tutte le botaniche.

Possiamo menzionare anche la Fever Tree Indian che a differenza della Volcano Tonic permette di assaporare un pò di più le note amarognole del gin abbassando la viscosità dell’oliva e dell’olio di oliva, con la nota dolce della nocciola e fresca del finocchietto selvatico e della ginestra che bilanciano il tutto insieme all’agrumato dell’arancia.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the one that best balanced the various botanicals is the Volcano Tonic, produced by the same producer as the gin, as it manages to balance the flavors given by the various botanicals, from the fresh and herbaceous ones of wild fennel and broom with the sweet note of hazelnut with a citrus finish given by the orange, with the viscosity of the olive and olive oil accompanying the flavors of all the botanicals.

We can also mention the Fever Tree Indian which, unlike the Volcano Tonic, allows you to savor the bitter notes of the gin a little more by lowering the viscosity of the olive and olive oil, with the sweet note of the hazelnut and the freshness of the wild fennel and of the broom which balance everything together with the citrus of the orange.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la bottiglia, in risalto fatta a quadrettini come fosse un mosaico con l’etichetta con bordatura verde che richiama la botanica principale del gin, cioè l’oliva di Nocellara e l’olio di oliva, e soprattutto il tappo che nella parte superiore è fatto in modo da aver una sensazione di toccare una pietra lavica.

Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, si sente subito l’oliva e la nota fresca data dalla ginestra e dal finocchietto selvatico, seguito dalla nota agrumata dell’arancia e dolce della nocciola.

Ci piace bevuto liscio, al palato arriva subito la nota dolce della nocciola insieme all’oliva, con le note fresche ed erbacee date dalla ginestra e del finocchietto selvatico che fanno da bilanciere con le note agrumate dell’arancia e del ginepro.

We like the bottle, highlighted in small squares as if it were a mosaic with the label with a green border which recalls the main botany of the gin, that is, the Nocellara olive and the olive oil, and above all the cap which in the upper part it is made so that you have a sensation of touching a lava stone.

We like the scent it releases as soon as the bottle is opened, you can immediately smell the olive and the fresh note given by the broom and wild fennel, followed by the citrus note of the orange and the sweet note of the hazelnut.

We like it drunk neat, the sweet note of hazelnut comes immediately to the palate together with the olive, with the fresh and herbaceous notes given by the broom and wild fennel which act as a balance with the citrus notes of the orange and juniper.
