Dalla terra al mare: Tra le colline rigogliose dell’entroterra che si incontrano con l’azzurro limpido del Mediterraneo nasce l’idea di dar vita a un prodotto di compagnia, unico perché emblematico della sua terra di origine.

Le nostre origini: Il nome del distillato risiede nella volontà di portare sempre con sé le proprie origini. Il bosco dell’Asturi, situato nel parco naturale di Carfizzi, è un luogo ricco di vegetazione dell’entroterra calabrese, in cui il connubio tra natura rigogliosa e freschezza delle acque trova la massima espressione.

L’idea: Tra i caldi colori del sole riflessi sul mare e sprazzi infuocati che si perdono nelle acque cristalline della costa accarezzandone il litorale, nasce la voglia e il desiderio di imprigionare i sentori agrumati e i vari speziati tipici di questa terra in una spettacolare cornice da vivere con gli amici.

Asturi è mix di solarità, freschezza e vivacità.

Giovane e cool, ma anche attentamente studiato e calibrato, è un gin realizzato con le migliori botaniche presenti sul nostro territorio: rosmarino, timo e maggiorana trovano il giusto bilanciamento con gli agrumi di Calabria, arancia, bergamotto e limetta.

Il tocco finale è una punta di pepe nero, per dare il giusto sprint che si rispetti a un distillato impetuoso e travolgente come la terra da cui proviene.

The final touch is a touch of black pepper, to give the right sprint to an impetuous and overwhelming distillate like the land from which it comes.

I sapori del Mediterraneo emergono in questo gin, la Calabria esprime il suo meglio nel bergamotto e Asturi gin contrasta l’agrumato intenso aggiungendo al suo bouquet di botaniche timo , maggiorana e rosmarino dando una nota erbacea molto balsamica. Il risultato è un gin davvero ben bilanciato che riporta con i suoi sapori al nostro mare.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che ha permesso di bilanciare meglio il gin tonic è la Gasco dry bitter tonic, riesce a bilanciare bene tutte le varie botaniche permettendo di sentire inizialmente le note erbacee del timo, maggiorana e rosmarino che ricoprono il palato permettendo di poter assaporare in successione le note speziate del pepe nero e agrumate dell’arancia amara, del bergamotto e del lime. Questa combinazione permette di bere un ottimo gin tonic ben bilanciato e ottimo da bere in estate grazie alle note amarognole date dagli agrumi ben bilanciate con le note fresche ed erbacee della maggiorana e del timo.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la semplicità della bottiglia con raffigurata sull’etichetta un’onda del mediterraneo.
Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota agrumata del bergamotto, arancia e del lime seguite dalla nota speziata del pepe nero e floreale del rosmarino.
Ci piace liscio, in quanto al palato arriva immediatamente la nota forte e fresca del ginepro seguito dal gusto speziato del pepe nero, con le note floreali della maggiorana e del timo che ricoprono il palato bilanciando le note agrumate con quelle speziate.
