Egoista è un gin che ci ha lasciato da subito la sensazione di essere un pò differente dal solito e in maniera positiva, botaniche definiamo insolite come il cacao ben si sposano con altre più classiche, il risultato è un gin interessante che si lascia a apprezzare magari non ad un primo assaggio ma dopo alcuni, (come facciamo noi di Gin Ecology quando svolgiamo i test), consigliato a chi vuole farsi un gin ogni tanto che esce dai soliti canoni.

Egoista is a gin that immediately left us with the feeling of being a little different from the usual and in a positive way, botanicals that we define as unusual such as cocoa go well with other more classic ones, the result is an interesting gin that can be appreciated perhaps not at a first taste but after a few, (as we at Gin Ecology do when we carry out tests), recommended for those who want to make a gin every now and then that goes outside the usual canons.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che bilancia meglio il gin tonic è la Fever Tree Indian, in quanto riesce a bilanciare le note dolci del carciofo, foglia di fico e del tarassaco con e le note amarognole delle fave di cacao, con il gusto delle foglie di ulivo che ricopre il palato in modo da poter assaporare il gusto delle varie botaniche presenti bilanciandole tra loro lasciando un finale in bocca del ginepro e della lavanda.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la bottiglia con la sua etichetta particolare, con un pavone in primo piano.
Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota della foglia d’ulivo e nota amarognola del cacao, con la nota finale del ginepro che si accompagna profumo della lavanda e del tarassaco.
Ci piace bevuto liscio in quanto al palato si sente subito la nota della foglia di olivo che ricopre il palato bilanciando il sapore delle note amarognole del cacao che si contrastano con le note dolciastre del carciofo e del tarassaco, chiudendo con il retrogusto del ginepro.

We like it drunk neat as on the palate you can immediately feel the note of the olive leaf that covers the palate, balancing the flavor of the bitter notes of the cocoa which contrast with the sweetish notes of the artichoke and dandelion, finishing with the aftertaste of the juniper.
