Rampant è il primo gin della famiglia Vèrays, ad ora un trio di gin di alto livello ai quali si è aggiunto il Bandit in edizione limitata, un gin erbaceo dai sentori onesti e decisi un buon mix di botaniche poche ma ben delineate che conferiscono un profumo e sapore piacevole a questo gin piemontese.

Rampant is the first gin from the Vèrays family, now a trio of high-level gins to which the limited edition Bandit has been added, a herbaceous gin with honest and decisive aromas, a good mix of few but well-defined botanicals that give a perfume and pleasant flavor to this Piedmontese gin.

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che bilancia meglio il gin tonic è la Verays Indian tonic, riesce a dare un equilibrio migliore tra le varie botaniche, le note acri e dolci dell’angelica si legano bene con le note agrumate del pompelmo e con le note erbacee del rosmarino, con il ginepro che lega per bene il tutto.

Mentre a chi piace gustarsi di più un gin tonic che risalta un pò di più le note amarognole può abbinare questo gin alla Fever Tree Indian.

Ci piace la bottiglia molto particolare, nell’etichetta è presente una riproduzione di scultura classica con le varie scritte messe in rilievo, al tatto ben percettibili.

Ci piace il profumo che si sente appena si apre la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota erbacea data dal rosmarino con le note dolciastre ed acri dell’angelica che si abbinano alle note agrumate del pompelmo.

Ci piace bevuto liscio in quanto al palato arrivano subito i sapori erbacei del rosmarino con la nota dolce e acre dell’angelica che si bilancia con la nota dolciastra ed agrumata del pompelmo, il tutto per gin molto ben bilanciato e piacevole al palato che mette in risalto il contrasto dolce-amaro delle sue botaniche.
