Il Pioneer è il terzo gin nato in casa Vèrays ed è quello dai toni secchi e decisi, un London Dry con ben 55% che si lascia bere anche liscio, non un gin per tutti ma a nostro giudizio il migliore dei tre classici decisamente imperdibile per gli amanti dei gin secchi e decisi.

Pioneer is the third gin created by Vèrays and is the one with dry and decisive tones, a London Dry with a good 55% that can also be drunk neat, not a gin for everyone but in our opinion the best of the three classics, definitely unmissable for lovers of dry and decisive gins.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che bilancia meglio il gin tonic è la Verays Indian Tonic, permette di bilanciare i sapori delle varie botaniche, inizialmente permette di assaporare le note erbacee e balsamiche del timo, seguito dalle note dolciastre e leggermente acre dell’angelica, con le note agrumate e del ginepro che bilanciano il tutto, rendendo il gin tonic molto bilanciato e piacevole da bere. Possiamo abbinare a questo gin anche la Malafemmina, che abbassa le note dolci date dalla Verays, risaltando di più le note acri dell’angelica e le note agrumate che vengono bilanciate dalle note erbacee del timo.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the one that best balanced the gin and tonic is the Verays Indian Tonic, it allows you to balance the flavors of the various botanicals, initially it allows you to savor the herbaceous and balsamic notes of the thyme, followed by the sweetish and slightly acrid notes of the Angelica, with citrus and juniper notes that balance everything, making the gin and tonic very balanced and pleasant to drink. We can also combine Malafemmina with this gin, which lowers the sweet notes given by Verays, highlighting the acrid notes of angelica and the citrus notes which are balanced by the herbaceous notes of thyme.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la bottiglia molto particolare, nell’etichetta è presente una stampa di una scultura classica con occhiali e le varie scritte sono in rilievo, al tatto ben percettibili.
Ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota del ginepro seguito dalle note agrumate e fresche, con note dolciastre date dall’angelica e per finire un profumo balsamico erbaceo dato dal timo.
Ci piace bevuto liscio in quanto al palato si sentono subito le note erbacee date dal timo, con le note agrumate che fanno da bilanciatura con le note amarognole dell’angelica e del ginepro.

We like the very particular bottle, on the label there is a print of a classic sculpture with glasses and the various writings are in relief, very perceptible to the touch.
We like the scent it releases as soon as the bottle is opened, the note of juniper immediately arrives on the nose followed by citrus and fresh notes, with sweetish notes given by angelica and finally a herbaceous balsamic scent given by thyme.
We like it drunk neat as the herbaceous notes given by the thyme are immediately noticeable on the palate, with the citrus notes balancing the bitter notes of angelica and juniper.
