What makes Cinque Terre gin special?

High quality organic juniper is the starting point for the creation of this gin and the choice of 5 botanicals, each linked to a village. Carefully selected from a specific territory to which it is closely linked:

Marjoram – Riomaggiore

Sage – Manarola

Basil – Corniglia

Rosemary – Vernazza

Lemon – Monterosso

La Liguria in special modo la regione a Levante delle Cinque Terre emerge in questo gin, ogni comune dona una botanica a questo gin rendendolo piacevolmente equilibrato al palato. Erbaceo e leggermente agrumato, così è possibile definire questo gin che consigliamo di bere anche liscio.

Liguria, especially the eastern region of the Cinque Terre, emerges in this gin, each municipality gives its botanicals to this gin making it pleasantly balanced on the palate. Herbaceous and slightly citrusy, this is how we can define this gin which we also recommend drinking neat.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, quella che è riuscita a dare un’ottima bilanciatura a tutte le botaniche è la Fever Tree Indian, inizialmente si può gustare la nota agrumata/aspra del limone accompagnata dalle note erbacee del basilico, rosmarino e salvia con la maggiorana che fa da bilanciere tra le toniche. La Fever Tree Indian riesce a non far eccedere troppo il sapore del rosmarino e del limone rispetto alle altre botaniche.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the one that managed to give an excellent balance to all the botanicals is the Fever Tree Indian, initially you can taste the citrus/sour note of the lemon accompanied by the herbaceous notes of basil, rosemary and sage with the marjoram which acts as a balance between the tonics. Fever Tree Indian manages not to overdo the flavor of rosemary and lemon too much compared to other botanicals.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace la classica bottiglia con l’etichetta molto colorata con sfondo classico delle cinque terre, ci piace il profumo che rilascia appena aperta la bottiglia, al naso arriva subito la nota agrumata del limone seguita dalle note erbacee del basilico e rosmarino.
Ci piace il gusto al palato bevuto liscio, si sentono subito le note erbacee del rosmarino, salvia e basilico con la maggiorana che bilancia l’erbaceo con l’agrumato del limone e del ginepro.

Difetti davvero non ne troviamo.

We like the classic bottle with the very colorful label with a classic Cinque Terre background, we like the scent it releases as soon as the bottle is opened, the citrus note of lemon immediately arrives on the nose followed by the herbaceous notes of basil and rosemary.
We like the taste on the palate when drunk straight, the herbaceous notes of rosemary, sage and basil are immediately noticeable with the marjoram which balances the herbaceous with the citrus of lemon and juniper.

We really can’t find any faults.
