The Fruity Gin, the predominant note of berries goes perfectly with the austerity of the juniper, the sensations of freshness deriving from mint and cardamom complete the aromatic picture to perfection. The soft and enveloping taste of red fruits is strengthened in its complexity by vanilla and cocoa, giving an oriental sensation. I gin fruttati al pari dei floreali sono sempre un azzardo in quanto a sapori forti e dominanti, al naso si viene travolti dalla dolcezza ma assaggiandolo liscio si capisce che il lavoro di Franco Cavallero non si smentisce e riesce a donare note di tutte le botaniche al palato, mixato con una tonica giusta e contrastante risulta un drink piacevole da assaporare in compagnia.

Fruity gins like floral ones are always a gamble in terms of strong and dominant flavours, the nose is overwhelmed by the sweetness but tasting it straight you understand that Franco Cavallero’s work does not disappoint and manages to give notes of all the botanicals to the on the palate, mixed with the right and contrasting tonic, it is a pleasant drink to enjoy in company.

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, la particolarità di questo gin rende varia la scelta ma la tonica ha bilanciato meglio le botaniche è la Malafemmena, in quanto non fa risaltare molto le note dolci della vaniglia e del cacao bilanciandole bene con le note agrodolci del lampone e la nota erbacea della menta.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the particularity of this gin makes the choice varied but the tonic that balanced the botanicals best is Malafemmena, as it does not bring out the sweet notes of vanilla and cocoa very much, balancing them well with the bittersweet notes of the raspberry and the herbaceous note of mint.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace il profumo che si sente appena aperta la bottiglia, risalta subito il profumo del ginepro e delle note dolci della vaniglia e cacao, mentre al palato piace il gusto dolce della vaniglia e del cacao che si bilanciano con il lampone e la nota erbacea della menta e cardamomo. Ci piace il gusto particolare di questo gin dato dalla combinazione data dal lampone insieme alla vaniglia e al cacao.

We like the scent that you smell as soon as the bottle is opened, the scent of juniper and the sweet notes of vanilla and cocoa immediately stand out, while the palate likes the sweet taste of vanilla and cocoa which balances with the raspberry and the herbaceous note of the mint and cardamom. We like the particular taste of this gin given by the combination of raspberry together with vanilla and cocoa.
