“göta” in dialetto laghee significa “goccia” e richiama il modo in cui il distillato esce dall’alambicco, goccia a goccia.

Il gin del Lago di Como esprime territorialità nelle sue botaniche in parte della zona del lago e le restanti italiane, e anche nel suo packaging con la sagoma del Lago stilizzata.

L’idea parte da 4 amici che nel 2021 decidono di creare un gin tutto loro, il risultato è un gin con botaniche tra l’agrumato e il balsamico.

“göta” in Laghee dialect means “drop” and recalls the way in which the distillate comes out of the still, drop by drop.

Lake Como gin expresses territoriality in its botanicals partly from the lake area and the remaining Italian ones, and also in its packaging with the stylized outline of the lake.

The idea comes from 4 friends who in 2021 decide to create their own gin, the result is a gin with botanicals between citrus and balsamic.

Un gin fresco ma allo stesso tempo intenso adatto ad ogni stagione grazie alla presenza di botaniche erbacee e agrumate, proprio per questo permette in base alla tonica e ai garnishments usati di deviare il risultato in base all’esigenza. Personalmente lo preferiamo con toniche fresche o neutre come indicato qui di seguito.

A fresh but at the same time intense gin suitable for every season thanks to the presence of herbaceous and citrus botanicals, for this reason it allows, based on the tonic and garnishments used, to divert the result according to the need. Personally we prefer it with fresh or neutral tonics as indicated below.

Quale acqua tonica usare? / wich tonic water?

Abbiamo provato questo gin con varie toniche, l’acqua brillante mette in risalto i sapori erbacei dati dal timo, dall’angelica e ulivo con il retrogusto dato dalla scorza d’arancia, mentre con la Fentimans viene messo in risalto il gusto del ginepro, dell’arancia e della menta.

We tried this gin with various tonics, the brilliant water highlights the herbaceous flavors given by thyme, angelica and olive tree with the aftertaste given by the orange peel, while with the Fentimans the taste of juniper is highlighted, of orange and mint.

COSA CI PIACE E COSA NO / WHAT WE LIKE AND WHAT WE DON’T

Ci piace come questo gin riesce a mettere in risalto le sue botaniche con le varie toniche provate, dal gusto intenso della parte floreale data dalle foglie di ulivo, l’angelica, il timo e il retrogusto dell’acacia, alla parte agrumata data dalle scorze di arancia amara e del limone abbinata alla menta dolce.

Difetti davvero non ne troviamo.

We like how this gin manages to highlight its botanicals with the various tried tonics, from the intense taste of the floral part given by the olive leaves, the angelica, the thyme and the aftertaste of the acacia, to the citrus part given by the peel of bitter orange and lemon combined with sweet mint.

We really can’t find any faults.
